After watching a TED talk, where a Hariri Pontarini Architects' associate explained the process to create a sacred building, I have been inspired and decided to re-create the Baha'i Temple in 3D and update my portfolio with brand new CGIs.
This project focuses on experimenting with materials, textures, lights, cameras and atmosphere.
The whole building, interiors and the surrounding city are modelled in 3Dsmax, rendered with Corona Renderer and post-processed in Photoshop.
All the references used are available online, on the Architects' website and Pinterest.
The project divides into three sections due to the amount of work involved.
The 2nd section focuses on the staircase design and its elegant silhouette.
The wiggly shape of this particular part of the building gives endless interesting perspectives to play with when choosing the cameras.
Some interior views have been included as well for experimentation purposes.
